Spathiphyllum 'Chopin' or most commonly known as the Peace Lily, produces lush, dark green, oval leaves that stand upright or slightly arch. The flowers are white, cream or green, and resemble arum lilies. They produce a flowering structure known as a spadix, this is a spike inflorescence with small blooms arranged on a fleshy stem and surrounded by a long white-coloured modified leaf known as a spathe. It has also been found effective at absorbing certain contaminants from the air.
