Stoneware platter made by hand from a slab of speckled clay. Shaped over a mould, cut and smoothed with a rubber kidney. Green stained slip is then painted onto the surface ready for sgraffito decoration. Bisque fired when dry, then coated in a transparent glaze and placed back in the kiln for one final 1230 degree centigrade firing.
