Hellebore is a magazine devoted to folk horror, folklore, magic and the occult in Britain
Founded in 2019 by writer and editor Maria J. Pérez Cuervo, with art direction by Nathaniel Hébert, HELLEBORE is a small press devoted to British folk horror and the occult.
"Hellebore is the most erudite journal on the current scene to deal with Paganism, magic and folklore in the realms of modern history, fiction and popular culture. It effortlessly straddles the spheres of academic and independent scholarship to unite the two in an ever-exciting and always accessible cocktail of new research."
—Ronald Hutton, leading historian of the ritual year in Britain and of modern Paganism, author of The Triumph of the Moon, Pagan Britain, and The Witch.
